Integrated

The Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP) Office, Kalamnuri covers two districts, Hingoli and Parbhani. The entire project area falls under the Outside Tribal Sub-Plan (OTSP) area. As per the notification issued by the Central Government in 1992, no district, taluka, village, hamlet or settlement in this area has been declared a tribal area. This project office functions under the Additional Tribal Commissioner, Amravati.

The office works under the Tribal Development Department, Government of Maharashtra, for the welfare and development of tribal communities in the project area. It implements educational, economic and social welfare schemes for the all-round upliftment of the tribal community.

Institutions under the project

The following Government Ashram Schools are functioning in Kalamnuri taluka:

• Government Ashram School, Bothi
• Government Ashram School, Gotwadi
• Government Ashram School, Jamghavan
• Government Ashram School, Shirad Shahapur
• Government Ashram School, Pimpaldari

In addition, the project manages 14 Government Hostels for tribal students.
